LG Optimus 2X Vs Apple iPhone 4 Review

This is the second InGear ipad charger case we’ve reviewed, and you can check out our thoughts on their rather excellent Flexi Grip Edge here. This time we’re taking a look at the Polarize Shell, a relatively traditional soft plastic case with one unusual feature, a transparent ipad keyboards polycarbonate window over the top half of its back. The Polarize Shell is available in white, black, blue and pink, and just like the Flexi Grip Edge, it’s the white and black which look the best. The blue is acceptable, but the pink is very bright and wasn’t for me at all! That said, I’m sure there are plenty of people just dying for a hot pink twister stunt cars iPhone 4 case! The case slips on very easily, and the soft sides offer very little resistance, so much so that once it’s on, the fit does feel slightly looser than we were expecting. The thick thermoplastic certainly feels like it’ll provide plenty of protection, thanks to the chunky corners and thick lip for lay-on-the-table peace of mind. The clear window lets the Apple logo show through and has a cutout for the camera lens and flash, while the edges of the case expose the mute switch and the ipad dock headphone socket, leaving the volume controls and sleep/wake key covered. We did notice that the sleep/wake key had a tendency to be held down by the case, resulting in the phone unexpectedly wanting to turn it off. This appears to be due to the inside of the case having a ‘bump’ under the section covering the key, but thankfully it didn’t cause a problem all the time. The case looks good when on the iPhone 4,laser pointer when even the blue began to grow on us after a while, however the square window on the rear could do with all four corners being rounded rather than only the top two. It’s priced at $18.99 and comes with a screen protector, an applicator and a polishing cloth, so it’s good value too. silly bandz Overall, the Polarize Shell is a good budget buy, but don’t expect the same level of build quality you’ll get from a case that costs twice that much. As long as you know what you’re going to get, InGear’s Polarize Shell is a safe buy.
