Who Is Hosni Mubarak?

he ongoing protests in Egypt revolve around the regime of one man, who has ruled the country for 30 years while operating as one of the United States' strongest allies in the Middle East -- Egyptian http://feeds.feedburner.com/links2rss/oOjy President Hosni Mubarak. The United States has sent billions of dollars in aid to the 82-year-old Mubarak over the years but never demanded democracy in return for this assistance. hiphone spy camera china mobile phone China Phone gpad hiphone watch phone zt-180 watch phone zenithink gpad hiphone watch phone zenithink Hadley, the former Bush security adviser, suggested that Washington should temper the demand for democracy for the time being. "Slow down here," he said. "Don't rush to elections. Give some space to see if we can remediate the terrible situation that Mubarak has created for us."  As more Egyptians join the call for Mubarak to leave, many around the world have joined in solidarity to support the people of Egypt. Protests occurred in Washington, D.C. and New York today, with demonstrators in the nation's capital calling on the Obama administration to take a stronger position against Mubarak. "Hey Obama, listen up. Hosni Mubarak's time is up," protestors chanted outside the Egyptian embassy in Washington. The increasingly volatile situation in Egypt holds the potential to have an adverse effect on the U.S. economy. The Dow dropped Friday by 166 points, in part due to the turmoil in Egypt. "I think the political crisis in the short term will rock markets," American University political science professor Diane Singerman said. "If we are supportive of these changes, I don't think in the near term or the long term this is going to have much of an effect on our economy." "It is a bellwether on the Middle East," Hadley said. "We want freedom and democracy to come to the Middle East, but we've seen too many instances where efforts to bring freedom and democracy get hijacked by elements that may be brought to power by democratic means, but have very non-democratic agendas." Watch: Egypt Erupts in Violent Protests "He's a very strong leader, and his strength has been his success," said Stephen Hadley, a former national security adviser to President George W. Bush. "He believes that he still has the support of the pillars of the regime." Mubarak served as vice president of Egypt beginning in 1975, but was thrust onto the international stage when President Anwar El-Sadat was assassinated during a parade in Cairo in 1981. Mubarak, a former bomber pilot and head of the Egyptian air force, continued Egypt's friendly relationship with the United States once he became the country's fourth president. Under Mubarak's leadership, relations between the United States and Egypt strengthened. Egypt joined the United States in the first Gulf War, providing crucial access to the Suez Canal and assisting in fighting Islamic terrorists, especially al Qaeda. For over a decade, Mubarak has not served alongside a vice president, but today, he appointed Omar Suleiman, the country's intelligence chief and a long term confidant of the president, to the post. Edward Walker, who served as the U.S. ambassador to Egypt from 1994 to 1997, acknowledged the implications turmoil in Egypt could have not only in the Middle East, but also in the United States. "It's also the core and the throbbing heart of the Arab world. What happens in Egypt could easily be replicated somewhere else," Walker said. "That is why you want them to be your friend." Regardless of the amiable relationship between the United States and Egypt, all five American presidents Mubarak has dealt with have prodded him to make Egypt a more democratic country. "I don't think Mubarak is highly creative," Walker said. "He is bright. He certainly knows his security, but he has a somewhat narrow view of the world, which revolves around the whole question of security."

Apple iPad MC349LL/A Tablet (16GB, Wifi + 3G) Reviews

I’ve now spent the better part of a day playing with the new iPad, and while it excels in many  things there are still some things anyone hiphone spy camerachina mobile phone China Phone gpad hiphone watch phone zt-180watch phone zenithinkgpad considering buying one should  probably keep in mind. First the good sides: This thing is very fast, opening and closing applications is quick, the screen is incredibly responsive, there is no lag while typing, and the built in Safari browser does a great job of quickly loading even graphic intense pages. The not so good sides: As has been thoroughly pointed out, there is not presently much in the way of multitasking within the iPhone OS, but with most expectations pointing towards a summer release of OS 4.0 this might be remedied by mid summer, and almost certainly by a generation 2 release. That said, it should be kept in mind that on such a little screen being able to view multiple applications at once will likely never be something you’ll use, and the speed by which you can open and close applications makes this less a headache than you might think. It isn’t as fast as moving between open apps, but it isn’t a deal breaker by any means. The lack of a camera in this generation is a little surprising, while I’ve purchased my iPad already, I honestly believe that with the number of competitors expected over the course of 2010 we’re probably going to see a generation 2 by Christmas with a camera. It’s still an amazing device, but the ability to video chat with it would definitely put it over the top, that’s a feature worth waiting for. The lack of Flash support isn’t as irritating as I expected it to be, but still something to consider. Many major sites have evolved to html5, or are in the process of doing so. This allows for full viewing by the Safari browser, and where it exists, it works great. The remaining sites still using Flash show up with annoying little boxes looking for a plugin that is likely never going to exist. If you spend a lot of time on flash heavy sites it really probably is worth considering holding out to see how the Slate/Android Tablets look in a few months, but if you’re mostly just e-mailing and checking facebook (no Farmville) the lack of Flash support probably won’t bother you too much. As a laptop replacement: The inclusion of the iWorks utilities gives this device a little bit of a laptop personality. Don’t let that persuade you into believing that you don’t need a computer though. You might be able to get away with ditching a laptop if all you really do is e-mail or very light word processing, but if you do anything more than that you’ll like the freedom and ease a full computer offers for more complex tasks. That said, this device is a tremendous leap towards a future tablet style device that may very well be a replacement for your computer, but for now it is more of a casual use device than something you can really expect to do substantial work with. I have put together a presentation in keynote, which was easy enough to do, but pages isn’t as intuitive as I’d have liked, and taking lengthy notes or writing long letters/e-mails/reports will probably make it worth considering buying either the keyboard dock or the wireless bluetooth keyboard. Battery life seems to live up to the claims, I managed to get about 7 hours before getting the 20% remaining battery life indication, which puts it about right for 10 hours or so of total use. One very important thing to realize about charging the device is that presently (at launch) there is some issues with charging via USB from many computers. The iPad is different than other iPod products, it requires a bit more power to charge up, and unfortunately most USB ports aren’t set up to support that higher power draw. This is something that may be fixed in a firmware update to allow for a slower charge, or it may simply be that you’ll need to either rely on a new Mac (seems like they can handle the power issue) or rely on the wall charger. Just don’t be surprised if you plug it into your computer and it doesn’t show that it is charging. All in all, the iPad is an impressive device that might make for a reasonable replacement of a netbook for casual users. For people who need something to really do a lot of work on, you may find that for the price that a netbook or laptop still offers the better value for your needs. Future generations of this device will probably transition into fitting that market better than this first generation. However, if you’re an avid reader, casual gamer, music fan, who doesn’t do much more on the web than check a few sites, and e-mail. This thing is definitely worth considering! If you’re on the fence, nothing about this product is so incredible as to justify running out and buying one right now, but it is worthy of your consideration if you’re thinking you might like a tablet style device. I definitely would encourage you to go play with one at best buy…

Boost Mobile i1 Android Phone Reviews?

Does anyone already have the Boost Mobile Motorola i1 Android phone. I heard it came out June 20, 2010. I know it is the first android phone for prepaid with a touch screen. I know it has a 5.0 megapixel camera and the phone also has Wi-Fi capability. The phone works off IDEN network and has walkie-talkie feature as well. However I heard that this phone only has the older Android operating system version 1.2 while the current android operating system is 2.2. No word if the phone can be updated to the current version of android. spy cameras qwerty phones qwerty mobiles wrist phone wrist phone watch sciphone http://www.sourcinggate.com/sciphone-t-211.html sciphone hiphone spy camerachina mobile phone China Phone gpad hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone mobile 2 sim zt-180watch phone zenithinkgpad hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone zenithink So anyone who has this phone, your reviews on this phone. How is the coverage on IDEN network ? Do you have any problems with sending text and receive text messaging ? With IDEN network is is really slow and coverage is horrible. Any input on this phone would be appreciative. Answer by Josh I bought My i1 about a week ago. I like it over all. Its a little glitchy at times (but what phone isn’t). So far you cannot update the phone and is runs Android 1.5, not 1.2. The sound quality of the phone is amazing and as far as sending and recieving of messages and calls go, it all depends on your coverage area. I like the phone. Its tough. Its Android. It has a good battery. Plus its prepaid. What more could you want? Answer by Hustler according to boost’s website motorola i1 is coming to stores soon. im am also interested in getting one. as for the coverage. i was a nextel costumer for over 7 years, i switched to boost about a year ago for their $ 50 flat rate, i’ve been using my nextel phones with boost simcard and never had a problem with it. no drop calls, walkie talkie national and international works fine. of-course no COMPANY has 100% nation wide coverage. i started using sprint in the late 90′s(sprint always has clear calls “in my area”), then cingular, then nextels, now its boost. i barely hear the other person in t-mobiles, atts phones Know better? House Republicans passed a repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by a vote of 245-189

House Republicans passed a repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by a vote of 245-189, mainly along party lines — only three Democrats joined with the Republicans. The vote prompted sharp reactions from all sides of Minnesota politics: Rep. Michele Bachmann called for the repeal of President Obama, while Rep. Keith Ellison said that Republicans voted dump 32 millions Americans’ health coverage. Minnesota’s congressional delegation also split along party lines. Rep. Collin Peterson, who voted against health care reform last spring, also voted against its repeal. That prompted an attack from the Republican Party of Minnesota. “With his vote against repealing ObamaCare this evening, Collin Peterson demonstrates that he is too liberal for the Seventh Congressional District,” GOP chair Tony Sutton said in a statement. “While Peterson pretends to be a centrist, he continues to oppose repealing this dreadful bill which raises taxes on small businesses, cuts Medicare for seniors and contains an unconstitutional mandate requiring Americans to buy private insurance.” The GOP claims that the health care reform will cut Medicare has been claimed false by numerous fact-checkers. The constitutionality of the law is still being decided; a court in Michigan ruled it constitutional, another in Virginia ruled it unconstitutional. The GOP also went after Rep. Tim Walz. “With his vote against repealing ObamaCare this evening, Tim Walz has once again shown that he is too liberal for Southern Minnesota,” wrote GOP chair Sutton. spy cameras qwerty phones qwerty mobiles wrist phone wrist phone watch sciphone http://www.sourcinggate.com/sciphone-t-211.html sciphone hiphone spy camerachina mobile phone China Phone gpad hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone mobile 2 sim zt-180watch phone zenithinkgpad hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone zenithink “Walz is wrong to support higher taxes on small businesses, deep Medicare cuts for seniors and an unconstitutional mandate requiring Americans to buy private insurance.” Walz own statement directly contradicted Sutton’s. “Repealing the Affordable Care Act will eliminate consumer protections, put insurance companies between you and your doctors, raise taxes on small businesses, and explode the deficit,” said Walz. “It will be bad for our economy and jobs in places like southern Minnesota that have a robust health care industry.” He offered a story of constituents who have already been helped by the new law. “[J]ust a few weeks ago, I received a letter from a dad in southern Minnesota named Paul. Paul’s son Joe is 21 years old, works part time and has Type II diabetes,” Walz wrote. “Joe couldn’t get the insurance he needed to pay for the expensive equipment and treatment he needs. But because of the new law we passed, Joe was able to get back on his parent’s insurance and his new insurance card came a couple of weeks ago in the mail. He added, “A vote to repeal this legislation is a vote to tear that insurance card out of Joe’s hand and so I voted against it.” Minnesota’s other DFL representatives explained their vote against repeal as well. “Repealing the health reform law and enacting the Republican ‘No Care/No Jobs’ bill means dumping 32 million Americans from health coverage – including almost 12,000 young adults in Minnesota,” wrote Rep. Keith Ellison. “Additionally, this ‘No Care/No Jobs’ bill adds another $230 billion to our federal budget deficit.” “Denying health care to millions of Americans doesn’t create jobs,” he added. “The American people deserve better from their elected leaders.” Ellison’s neighbor to the east, Rep. Betty McCollum, was concerned that a repeal might negatively impact American Indian and Alaskan Native communities. “Tribal leaders from across the country worked tirelessly to pass this law,” she said. “Today, Republicans in Congress are voting to repeal expanded health care for Native Americans, and they are abandoning the federal government’s trust responsibility to provide these services to tribal members. Two million American Indians and Alaskan Natives would have vital health care services stripped by House Republicans.” A press release from the White House featured 14 Democratic state legislators railing against repeal efforts, including Minnesota’s own Reps. Erin Murphy of St. Paul and Tom Huntley of Duluth. “Repealing the Affordable Care Act means repealing affordable coverage for Minnesotans with preexisting conditions like asthma or diabetes,” said Murphy. “Repealing the Affordable Care Act represents a fatal step backwards and the consequence is a less stable, more costly health care system for Minnesotans.” Huntley said, “Every day, Minnesotans are coming to appreciate the Affordable Care Act more and more. Adult children are being offered coverage on their parents’ policy, seniors are getting help with the costly donut hole, and small businesses are adding jobs because the tax credit is helping them provide health coverage.” Republicans on the other hand were vociferous in their support for a repeal of the health care law. “Obamacare, as we know, is the crown jewel of socialism. It is socialized medicine,” Bachmann said from the House floor just before the vote. “The American people spoke soundly and clearly at the ballot box in November and they said to us, Mr. Speaker, in no uncertain terms, ‘Repeal this bill.’” (An ABC/Washington Post poll released this week challenges the assertion; it found that only 18 percent of Americans favor repealing the entire health care reform law. Thirty-seven percent favor repealing all or part of the law.) Bachmann added, “And to those across the United States who think this may be a symbolic act, we have a message for them: this is not symbolic. This is why we were sent here and we will not stop until we repeal a President and put a President in the White House who will repeal this bill, until we repeal the current Senate, put in a Senate that will listen to the American people and repeal this bill.” Rep. John Kline said that health care reform costs too much. “Almost one year ago Democrats launched a nearly $1 trillion government takeover of health care that increases national health care spending by $311 billion over 10 years and levies more than $500 billion in new taxes on individuals, consumers, and businesses,” he said. “The 2,700 page law has led to more than 4,000 pages in new rules and regulations – and the law is only 10 months old. The uncertainty of what this all means for individuals and businesses today – and in the months and years to come – is having a chilling effect on the country’s job creators.” Freshman Rep. Chip Cravaack was a bit more measured in his tone. “I agree all Minnesotans should have access to high quality, affordable health care,” he said. “However, I do not support the increased regulation, taxation and government interference found in the 2,400 page, $1 trillion legislation President Obama signed into law last year. The country can’t afford it, and it serves as a massive over-reach on behalf of the federal government.” “Fortunately, this will not be the only vote I take on health care,” Cravaack added. “Now that the House has voted to repeal Obamacare, I intend to work to ensure it is replaced with legislation that expands the accessibility of coverage, lowers costs and focuses on the quality of patient care – without laying the bill at the feet of Minnesota taxpayers and future generations of Americans.” Rep. Erik Paulsen, who has been a champion of medical technology corporations in Minnesota, said his vote for repeal was in part to help them. “Repeal is the first step in bringing meaningful, affordable and patient-centered health care reform for all Americans in an open and transparent manner,” he said. “The repeal today will also stop a $20 billion tax burden on the life-saving medical device industry, a burden that falls on the hundreds on medical technology companies that reside in my district.”

Samsung had a successful run with their NX10 camera and EVIL series of NX mirrorless

Samsung had a successful run with their NX10 camera and EVIL series of NX mirrorless cameras so there are some high expectations for the Samsung NX100.
The Samsung NX100 sports the same features as its NX10 big brother camera. The Samsung NX10’s great feature and stashed it in the very compact body of the Samsung NX100! As expected though the Samsung NC100 did have to sacrifice some features including the Samsung NX10’s EVF built-in flash and the comfortable handgrip. These were all “compromised” to make the Samsung NX100 a tad bit smaller. That said, Samsung still kept the 14.6 megapixel CMOS image sensor with the Samsung NX100 camera. It also kept the NX lens mount system and the 3 inch LCD with AMOLED technology. As with many digital SLRS and compact camera, the Samsung NX100 can shoot 720 HD video recording. The Samsung NX100 has an expansive range of ISO reaching up tp ISO 3200 (or even 6400 when bought with the ISO expansion). The Samsung NX100 is a gadget freaks’ camera as its has full manual controls as it is fully automatic. With the Samsung NX100 you use the new i-Function lens system. This is a Samsung developed technology in which the lens automatically focuses on the subject and with the unique control system the camera can easily change camera settings without spy cameras qwerty phones qwerty mobiles wrist phone wrist phone watch sciphone http://www.sourcinggate.com/sciphone-t-211.html sciphone hiphone spy camerachina mobile phone China Phone gpad hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone mobile 2 sim zt-180watch phone zenithinkgpad hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone zenithink he change of grip on the NX100. This is made possible by having the iFN button on the lens barrel. The new button is in conjunction with the manual focus ring. With this kind of set up it is possible for you to change to different camera settings, including changing ISO, shutter speed, white balance, exposure, etc. This functionality adapted but the Samsung NX100 as well as future NX series cameras is pretty great design. Once you get used to the control it becomes apparent that the design makes changing the setting pretty much seamless. What happens is that when you want to change mode you just press the iFn button and fial the focus ring. That is how easy you can change the settings. Again it may take some getting used to especially for beginners but once you master the whole iFN button it is easier and more practical to navigate. Similar to generally most EVIL camera, a great thing about the Samsung NX100 is that if offers a lot of manual options that makes the compact camera feel like the digital SLR but can easily be used by any photography beginner. The Samung NX100 takes out the guess work of the manual controls and allows people who do not want to dwell on the technical operation of the camera. You can take great pictures with the Samung NX100 auto mode.

Big Brother may already be watching you in the District, and he will soon have a lot more eyes trained in your direction.

Big Brother may already be watching you in the District, and he will soon have a lot more eyes trained in your direction. spy cameras qwerty phones qwerty mobiles The city's homeland security agency is planning to add thousands of security cameras from private businesses around the nation's capital and the Metro system to the thousands of electronic eyes that authorities are already monitoring 24/7. D.C.'s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency has already centralized the feeds from more than 4,500 cameras operated by the District's department of transportation and school system. Those feeds are watched around the clock by officials from those departments who sit together in homeland security's Joint All-Hazards Operation Center. By bringing feeds from thousands more cameras to the central watching room through links to cameras at businesses such as banks, corner stores and gas stations, the District is joining other big cities like London, New York and Baltimore that in recent years have turned to cameras to fight crime and terrorism. But critics worry the District's government might be going too far. SHARPER VISION The long-term plan is to feed the thousands of cameras being monitored into a single system called Video Interoperability for Public Safety. When the nearly $1 million system is activated, its capabilities will include: > Bringing up images from security cameras near where the police department's "Shot Spotter" system detects gunfire. > Detecting whether a vehicle is traveling the wrong way down a one-way street. > Identifying objects (bags, for example) that are left behind. Source: D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency "The D.C. effort to link public and private watching capabilities might be viewed as excessive," said Jeffrey Rosen, a law professor at George Washington University who studies the balance between security and civil liberties. "It would make it hard to find a place in the city where people aren't being watched by cameras." "It sounds like Big Brother to me," Maryland resident James Dewitt said Wednesday on the streets of downtown Washington, referencing George Orwell's novel foreseeing a society oppressed by a government that tracks everyone. "We're heading to '1984.' It's 2011, but we're heading to 1984." Robyn Johnson, a spokeswoman from HSEMA, told The Washington Examiner that "the program has not expanded to include private businesses." But, "We continue to explore this in a deliberative way." A plan for 2011 submitted to the city administrator by HSEMA says the agency plans gpad hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone mobile 2 sim zt-180watch phone zenithinkgpad to centralize cameras at private businesses and those run by Metro and the D.C. Housing Authority. The plan doesn't have a timeline, and Johnson said there isn't one. Homeland security says the centralized camera system is designed to be used to raise "situational awareness" during "developing significant events" like the shooting at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2009 or the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. When it was started in spring 2008, the program immediately met resistance from the D.C. Council. Some council members worried that the closed-circuit television system was put together too quickly and without consideration of how effective it would be in reducing crime or preventing terrorism. At-large Councilman Phil Mendelson, who oversees the homeland security agency, still has those concerns. "My concern about these cameras has always been that there's no evidence they reduce crime," Mendelson said. "If HSEMA intends to put more staff on to monitor these cameras, it would not be a good use of resources." Mendelson added that "although one doesn't have much of a right of privacy on a Metro platform ... it could change when you're inside a bank, and if HSEMA were looking at a bank statement." Johnson said the agency is developing regulations to protect civil liberties. Homeland security currently operates under the same series of regulations the D.C. Council adopted for the cameras used by the police department, which are run separately from HSEMA's cameras. Those regulations make it illegal for a camera hiphone mobile 2 sim watch phone zenithink to be focused on literature being carried by someone in a protest. They also prevent footage from being stored for more than 10 days, unless it captured a crime being committed or questionable police action.
